The latest version of Windows has an unknown feature for many, automatic maintenance. In Windows 10, this automatic maintenance is activated by default and is responsible for performing certain tasks every day to update applications, detect security, or diagnose the system. However, Windows does not offer 10 ways to disable them easily, so let's show the steps that should be followed to disable automatic maintenance.

Many of you may wonder why you should turn off automatic maintenance if it performs tasks that might be useful, but the fact is that for many users the problem may be more than useful.
Automatic maintenance of Windows can interfere with our work, as it can lead to system restarts when you do not expect it, but in addition, certain background operations can be run and affect the performance of your computer components and capabilities or make Windows startup or shutdown slower.
The first thing you should know is that Windows 10 does not offer any option to disable it, so we will have to make a simple change to the system registry. So first of all, it's a good idea to back up if something goes wrong to get back to what your computer used to be. You will have to open the registry of Windows or Registry by typing in the word "Regedit" in the image

After that, the Windows registry will open and you must go to a path
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Schedule \ Maintenance
Once you click Maintenance, you will create a new 32-bit DWORD value named MaintenanceDisabled, if it no longer exists.

Whether we have to create it or if it already exists, we double-click it to edit it and set its value to 1. This indicates that automatic maintenance of the Windows operating system where 10 will be completely disabled from that moment. If necessary, we must restart the computer to make sure that the changes are applied correctly.
